Why hasn’t the SSD become the default storage medium yet?

As any solid-state drive owner will tell you, the storage medium is infinitely superior to traditional hard disk drives in almost every way.. Emphasis on the “almost.” Although small, ridiculously fast, and virtually silent, SSDs have been known to have issues with data loss, and according the people at KoreLogic, some SSDs can start losing data after just a few days if they’re not constantly provided with power. Combine this with the fact that SSDs are much more expensive than HDDs and it’s no surprise that they haven’t seen more adoption.
