Although there were numerous weeks of leaks and rumors about Apple’s innovative new design. The (Worldwide Developers Conference) WWDC 2025 unveiling of Liquid Glass, the company’s new design language for all of its devices. It came as a huge surprise.

In the realm of digital elegance, Apple has introduced stunning and delightful designs that match functional intelligence with aesthetic graces. Creating a new interface has been meticulously tuned to provide a seamless and emotional experience. This new design evokes a sense of sophistication where elegance emerges from subtle precision.

Apple marks a deliberate evolution by fusing warmth, clarity, and innovative design language, one that encourages consumers to engage with their gadgets rather than merely interact with them. This is software as art, not just software design.

What Does this Updated Design Contain?

With the intention of drawing more attention to readily recognizable information, Apple’s design team looked at every facet of the company’s platforms to find areas for improvement.

App navigation, toolbars, and controls have all been updated. They were originally designed for rectangular screens, but they now precisely align with the rounded edges of contemporary hardware and app windows, creating a more harmonious combination of content, software, and hardware.

Liquid Glass is used to create controls, which serve as a separate functional layer over apps.  When consumers seek more options or go between different areas of an app, these provide a way to access information dynamically. Additionally, users may locate the controls they require more easily with careful groupings.

A similar method has been used to redesign sidebars and tab bars. In IOS 26, tab bars are minimized when users scroll, highlighting content while maintaining instant access to navigation. Tab bars automatically enlarge as soon as users scroll back up. Apps such as Apple TV are even more immersive in iPad OS and Mac OS thanks to improved sidebars. By reflecting nearby content and the user’s background, they bounce the matter behind them, giving users a constant feeling of context.

These new design features are applicable to new experiences in Apple’s native or built-in apps like Apple Music, Apple News, Apple Podcasts, Camera, Photos, Safari, FaceTime, and more.

Making Apps More Dynamic

With the new and updated controls and Liquid Glass materials, developers can redesign their programs to make the user experience even more pleasurable and intuitive.

Apple is currently the global leader in innovation with the iPhone, iPad, Mac, AirPods, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro. The App Store, Apple Music, Apple Pay, and iCloud are just a few of the ground-breaking services that customers can access through Apple’s different software platforms. The more than 150,000 workers at Apple are committed to creating the greatest products possible and leaving the world in a better state than when they found it.

The intricate details of this new design make Apple’s Liquid Glass so beautiful. Anybody can see a preview of the material beneath menus, tab bars, and other features, which appear to be floating on top of the content. The liquid component also starts to move at this point.  Depending on the apps and content, all of these small components will move, compress, and enlarge.

But not everyone will be a fan of this design language right away.  However, Techi considers it to be only the beginning. Liquid Glass’s design aesthetics will only get better when more iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 betas become available.
