DJI is gearing up for a major lineup refresh with leaks and regulatory filings that suggest the impending arrival of three new drones: the Mini 5 Pro, Avata 3 and Neo 2, along with a new Osmo action camera. These teased releases are expected to offer considerable upgrades and expand DJI’s consumer line-up across numerous categories.

The DJI Mini 5 Pro is a successor to the Mini 4 Pro and has reportedly emerged in a new FCC filing with a launch hinted as early as September. A note-worthy upgrade is its larger 33.5Wh battery, which is nearly twice as much as the 18.9Wh capacity of its predecessor. When integrated with enhanced wireless transmission specs, this could allow for video streaming ranges up to 25 kilometres, which is 5 more beyond the Mini 4 Pro’s capabilities and closer to the range of the DJI Mavic 4 Pro.

Leaked video footage reveals glimpses of prototypes for the Avata 3 and Neo 2. The Avata 3 is a follow-up to the Avata 2 and features a farther-back battery, an enlarged front camera unit and a shift from three-blade to four-blade propellers. There aren’t as many details on the Neo 2, but prototypes suggest refined propeller guards compared to the original Neo model. Specific launch dates for the Neo 2 and Avata 3 remain unclear, but they are anticipated later in the year, given their predecessors’ relatively recent releases.

Beyond drones, an FCC filing for the DJI Osmo Nano indicates a new wearable action camera is in the works, potentially featuring a modular display akin to DJI’s existing Action series. DroneXL also suggests that DJI might release a Mic 3 and an Osmo 360 camera, though timeframes for these additional products are unconfirmed.

Aside from drones, an FCC filing for the DJI Osmo Nano indicates a new wearable action camera in the works, which could feature a modular display like DJI’s contemporary Action series. DroneXL also suggests that DJI might release a Mic 3 and an Osmo 360 camera, although time frames for these additional products are unconfirmed.

These insights into DJI’s potential new offerings stem from FCC regulatory filings and various industry sources, with DJI itself not having officially commented on the rumoured product lineup.
