
Being in the social media game has some definite advantages, and some absolute disadvantages. The advantages include getting to write for a living, obtaining and recalling odd knowledge about a multitude of different subjects, and having the inside track on what’s happening in the social media universe. The disadvantages are almost the exact same items as the advantages, as I’m constantly forced to detail exactly what I do for a living and I’m also expected to know the definition of everything regarding social media, which brings me to the top five social media mysteries, or the words that you don’t understand.

If you think back to what car interiors used to look like, it’s simply amazing how far we’ve come. New cars more closely resemble the interior display of a spaceship than a car. Before the dawn of computer technology and touch screens, cars took on a straight forward interior appearance that didn’t offer all that much to be excited about. Simply put? That was then, and this is now.

We live in a big, rushing, digital world. Writing letters is something done for nostalgic purposes; a throwback to simpler times. School-age children aren’t even taught to read an analog clock anymore. Even the simple act of installing a landline telephone in your house is an antiquated ideal. However, in this digital world, where social media is the new job application, why are we still sweating over our paper resumes?
